Tendencias en la normalización de nombres de autores en publicaciones científicas

We analyze current normalization trends of authors' names. We review the advantages of using a single bibliographic name as well as the most common naming recommendations so that each author can choose which to follow. Analizamos las tendencias actuales sobre normalización de los nombres de autores. Se revisan las ventajas de utilizar un nombre bibliográfico único y se revisan las recomendaciones más habituales para que se elijan los de cada autor.

Practitioners rarely have the time or propensity to read scientific research, and scholarly researchers seldom write for non-academic audiences. Nevertheless, both groups would probably agree that researchers could solve many problems faced by practitioners and that research is important to guide practice. This article acknowledges scientists’ failure to communicate successfully with practitioners, and discusses the main differences between academic and practitioner-oriented journals in management and business related disciplines. The European Reference Index for the Humanities (ERIH) has been proposed (and officially recognized in our country) as a European alternative to the dominant indices that have a known Anglo-Saxon bias. The aim is to raise the visibility of European research in the Humanities and in various areas of the Social Sciences, in order to improve coverage of the cultural and linguistic diversity of our continent. Mir@bel: a free gateway to journals’ contents

Mir@bel is a network backed by a platform dedicated to the online access to journals (full texts, description, publisher, etc.). This presentation of Mir@bel network took place during a meeting with the Sherpa/Romeo team of JISC. It was organised within the framework of the Bibliothèque Scientifique Numérique (former Committee for Open Science) in the working group dedicated to "Public Scientific Publishing". The aim was to imagine the future for the declaration of publishing policies of French scientific journals in the British Sherpa/Romeo platform.
